AKI THE LABEL is a streetwear company born in Los Angeles that focuses on daily wear and casual luxury. As the first traveling brand in the world, AKI THE LABEL journeys around the nation to showcase great cities and unique communities, creating limited edition collections and logos for each location, and interacting with the locals there.
We are exploring many horizons and with this, we are going one step further by hiring local models to shoot original cinematography and film in neighborhoods and cities. Through supporting a charitable endeavor to give back to the neighborhood, we have partnered with Fusion Community Empowerment who is working towards empowering to activate transformation.
Fusion Community Empowerment is a neighborhood community development corporation that takes a comprehensive approach to local development in order to empower strong, dynamic, and culturally diverse communities. In order to break the cycle of economic instability, they have been offering free educational programs, job placement and supportive services along with housing counseling to those who are unsheltered and underemployed. During the pandemic, Fusion shifted their focus to those who were very vulnerable, the elderly, veteran and unsheltered. Fusion raised money to provide housing assistance by paying for hotel stays, rent and connecting individuals with resources in their local communities.
Fusion has carefully leveraged essential resources through their network of relationships throughout Los Angeles and Orange County to build a comprehensive outreach program in order to serve a diverse group of individuals each year. Each year, Fusion is working to find an innovative and people-focused approach to provide the most essential services to our communities..
Since 2017, Fusion has been able to serve more than 6,000 free meals because of the generous donors who believe in their mission. Collectively, the members of their staff and board have given back to several communities both domestically and internationally. Fusion has a long-term goal of obtaining property to house veterans and elderly individuals while providing them with the supportive services they deserve. Fusion’s members are known for their sincerity, integrity, enthusiasm and how crucial it is to treat each and every person with dignity and respect.
Within the last five years, our partners have hired over 10 individuals, and as they expand, they are consistently looking to hire more. This year, they will host their annual “In the Spirit of Gratitude” event with a goal of serving over 400 free uncooked meals so families can have an amazing holiday experience with a delicious meal. Each year, in partnership with three local non-profits, Fusion serves at least 200 cooked meals, hygiene kits, blankets, clothes and other necessities to low-income and unhoused individuals in Compton, Long Beach and surrounding areas. Together, we will achieve this goal and we are grateful for the opportunity to do so.
Our Products
A casual clothing trend that originally gained popularity in the 1990s was streetwear. It includes casual yet fashionable attire like graphic tees, hoodies, sweatpants, and fancy sneakers. Hip-hop and skater culture are both sources of inspiration for our AKI Crew streetwear.
The street style of high-status people like influencers, celebrities, and singers has a significant impact on what we consider to be stylish in today's digital environment. Anyone may establish their own clothing line or become an influencer thanks to social media. Instead of the fashion elite, millions of people who like and retweet streetwear items decide what the next trend will be.
We are looking forward to several collaborations in our upcoming collections, contributing to the welfare of the local communities. It is influenced by a variety of things, such as sports, haute couture, hip-hop music, skate and surf culture, and more. Similar diversity can be found in its consumer base, which includes people from all social strata and regions of the world.
Final words
As a brand, we have a responsibility to be a part of the change we know is possible in our society and that is breaking the cycle of homelessness. Through our partnership with Fusion Community Empowerment, we are able to utilize our network to assist them in enhancing the quality of life for individuals by providing empowering programs and services to promote lifelong stability.
Our logo is an intersection of calligraphy with open ends meant to symbolize that our similarities greatly outnumber our differences, representing the idea that people are more alike than they are different. Join hands with AKI THE LABEL and let's reacquaint ourselves while looking fantastic! Let's begin.
